I wish I wrote a song that other people wanted to cover. To me, there’s no other honor greater than having other artists cover your song. I could win a Grammy, of course… and that’d be nice, but let’s say that U2 decides to cover my song… or Springsteen calls me up and says, “Swap… I know I owe you $83, but whaddya say I cover one of your songs, put it on an album, and we call it even?”
I’d probably say yes. PROBABLY.
This is not to say that a Grammy isn’t a great thing to get, but having my heroes take a stab at my song would be the ultimate of ultimates in my book. [...]

Back in January I posted the below Kings of Leon show from December of 2008. Then a couple months ago, I made the switch to a new file host for my music files, and in the process, the links for this show became dead links. I’ve gotten numerous requests via comments and emails to reupload this show, so for this fine Memorial weekend, I thought, hey, why not?

We’ve tried to keep you posted on as much as possible, but no matter how hard we try, we just can’t cover it all. So here are the most important links you will EVER find on the web (right now). [...]

The song is currently at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Modern Rock Tracks list and has peaked at #64 on Billboard’s Hot 100, so it seems things are going quite well for the Followill boys. [...]
Here’s an awesome bootleg from Kings of Leon, dated 12-10-08. This show was in support of their latest record, Only By the Night, a record that has earned its place on many “Best Of 2008″ lists, despite fan accusations of “selling out” and “going too commercial.”
I’ve been a fan of Kings of Leon since Aha Shake Heartbreak, and although I can understand the fans’ apparent disapproval of the change in sound, I can’t see why that is such a negative thing. [...]
The Rules: I reset the play counters for all the songs currently on my iTunes. Then at the end of every week, I check to see what the top five most played songs are. Whatever happens to be in this top five are then presented in order here from most played [...]
