Depeche Mode: Personal Jesus

I’m pretty sure all of you have heard “Personal Jesus”, and if you haven’t, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? “Personal Jesus” was released on August 29, 1989, and was the first single from Depeche Mode’s Violator album. According Wikipedia, the song reached #13 on the UK Singles Chart, #28 on the Billboard Hot 100, and in 2004 was ranked #368 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Oh, and Hilary Duff totally ripped it off.

This Week’s Top 5 Most Played Songs From Swap’s iTunes

Ok, so I missed last week’s Top 5 list. Sorry about that. I DID, however, make a pretty cool domino set up that looked cool… until it didn’t work. There’s nothing worse than spending a long-ass time setting up dominos only to discover that it doesn’t work because of ONE misplaced domino.

Stupid misplaced domino.

I wish all the stupid misplaced dominos would NOT be misplaced so that my cool domino set up would work. It would have been so cool. Something to write home about… or at least write about here.

Waitaminute… I AM writing about it here. I guess it was pretty cool despite the stupid misplaced domino.

THE GREATEST REMIXES EVER (for now)

The other day I came across a couple new remixes that piqued my interest… a remix of “Magificent” off U2’s new No Line on the Horizon album, and a remix of “Let Love Rule (2009)” off Lenny Kravitz’ breakthrough album Let Love Rule, which has a 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition coming out on May 19th. Johnny Cash, the Thorn Tree in a Whirlwind

Inspiration comes from many places. There’ is no “Holy Grail” for inspiration, as people find it in the most remote forms.
