Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Soft Shock
Posted on July 15, 2010 | View CommentsIt’s another late night here. I can’t say that today was good day for Ol’ Swap and I suppose I can’t sleep because I keep replaying the events over and over in my head. Nobody likes bad days… they seem to last forever and in... -
Sight in Sound I: Bruce Springsteen Acoustic in Barcelona, Spain 06-01-2005
Posted on July 11, 2010 | View CommentsSight in Sound: Find a photograph and put a soundtrack of one or multiple songs to it. All pictures were taken by Swapmeet Louie unless otherwise noted. There’s a clarity that comes with desperation, a clarity that some say reveals one’s true self. Desperation can... -
Ryan Adams: Live at Usher Hall 2002-11-24
Posted on June 14, 2010 | View CommentsLast week I posted the first Bruce Springsteen bootleg of the year. Today’s another first for 2010… Ryan Adams bootleg! This one dates back to 2002, just a couple of weeks before the release of his Demolition record. This is actually one of my favorite... -

Bruce Springsteen: Songs from “The Rising”
Posted on September 11, 2009 | View CommentsSorry for the horrible, horrible picture, but I hope we never forget. Listening to Bruce Springsteen‘s album The Rising has been a 9/11 tradition of mine ever since it was released in 2002. I’ve tried to find as many live acoustic performances of the songs... - I am so glad that Prince went back to using the name “Prince” instead of that symbol thingy. Calling him “The Artist Formerly Known As Prince” got a bit tiresome for everyone… and it really didn’t sound cool to call him TAFKAP. Besides, he’s Prince, and even when he was “Symbol Guy,” he was STILL Prince. I wonder if he can get inducted to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame twice now? Hmmmm… interesting strategy. Anyhow, here are some rare live acoustic Prince recordings. [...]" title="Prince: Live Acoustic Performances" />
