KT Tunstall: Acoustic, 3-17-2006

Man, this last week was a killer. I’m taking a class this summer, and it’s been a pretty intense time so far. I’ve got class pretty much every night and if I don’t keep up with the material, I might as well give up and drop it… something that I do NOT want to do.

I took my second test of the summer session yesterday, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The professor does an excellent job on covering the material, and his tests are a good representation of his lectures. I didn’t get 100%, but that’s ok. I kinda wish I DID get 100%, but I had a massive brain fart and forgot that Alport’s Syndrome is a genetic disorder, NOT Goodpsture’s Syndrome.

Stupid brain fart.

I probably got other questions wrong… crap.

Here’s something funny… when my mom asked me how the test went, I told her that I know I missed at least two. She said to me, “But you got most of the right?” I said yes. She told me that I’m always looking at the negative side of things. “Why don’t you say that you got at most 98 questions right instead of saying you got at least two wrong?”

I never thought about that. I guess I am pretty negative. Are you the same way or do you see the cup as half full?

You’re probably wondering, “Swap, why don’t you take the summer off and enjoy the sun?”

Well, the quick answer is that I can’t do that. The not-so-quick answer is that I can’t do that.

I know that I haven’t been posting on TheFrontloader.com as often as I used to, but don’t worry, I’m still here and I haven’t forgotten about you all. Thank you all so much for checking in and still making this site a regular part of your daily Internet activities. The summer class is crammed into just eight weeks, so by the end of July, my time should open up again for a spell before the Fall semester begins.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you all know that I’m still here. I was diggin’ on some KT Tunstall the other day and came across awesome live performance from 2006. It’s just her and her guitar and some pretty awesome looping. A lot of solo artists are doing the looping thing… it’s really quite effective and VERY cool to hear when done well.

If you haven’t checked out her wonderful debut album, Eye of the Telescope, I think it’d definitely be worth your time. Most of the songs from this bootleg are off that record. She’s a fantastic artist… pick up an album or two. You won’t be disappointed (unless you are).

Ok… I’m gonna hit the books again. And I want an iPhone.
