As you all know, one of the most popular music festivals out there, Bonnaroo 2009, kicks off today in Manchester, Tennessee… I think I read that almost 80,000 people are expected to attend. Wow. Around 150 acts will grace the various stages and cafes over the next few days, including some of my absolute favorites (Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco… just to name a few).

If you’re like me, you’re sitting at home studying about phospholipids, just wishing you were able to make the trek down to Tennessee to partake in the festivities. And even though that’s obviously not the case for me since I’m sitting at home studying about phospholipids, with the way technology is these days, even if I can’t physically BE at Bonnaroo, I can SORT OF be at Bonnaroo through streaming video (by the way, you can watch the LIVE Bonnaroo webcast June 12th – 14th here), blog posts from the lucky bastards that are there, and through other photos, videos, and reviews that will undoubtedly be popping up online over the next several days and weeks.
Well, as I was going through my emails yesterday, I came across one that I received from Aaron, a visitor to the site, and since I know there are a few Bruce fans out there reading, I just wanted to pass along the info from his message to you.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are making their 2009 Bonnaroo stage debut and Fuse is getting the fans ready by honoring The Boss for one whole night of live music, classic videos, and behind-the-scenes footage. Fuse is airing the band’s “Live in New York City,” Madison Square Garden Hallmark performance followed by “The Making of Working on a Dream” (where viewers can relive Bruce’s musical journey and get an exclusive look into the making of his latest album) and finally, “Loaded: Bruce Springsteen.” It’s the Best of the Boss: Thursday, June 11th from 8-11PM!
Additionally, Fuse is celebrating the countdown to their own Bonnaroo 2009 highlights show on June 20th with the launch of the ultimate online music news source, Tweetaroo – “Mashing Twitter and Music since 2009!” The site lets you follow the Tweets from all of the artists playing Bonnaroo this year including Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg and much more… all in one centralized online hub: here.
