The past couple of weeks have been pretty intense for me. It’s been one test after another… and to make matters worse, I haven’t been as focused as I should have been. I have no excuse for this except that I’ve hit the books pretty hard for the past year and I guess I started to ease up a bit too soon. I’ll admit that I didn’t finish quite as strongly as I wanted to, but I don’t expect my grades to take a hit because of this.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I study, I listen to music. There are times when I have my iPod on “shuffle,” but for the past week or so I’ve been sticking to a simple playlist titled “Study S**t.”
While putting together the “Study S**t” playlist, I stuck to mellow tunes. The reason I did this was because I’ve found that the more up-tempo songs get me too excited for books. Head-banging and studying do NOT mix.
Anyhow, I thought I would share some highlights of this playlist with you all. The actual playlist has over 30 songs… here are the songs that almost always stop me in my tracks… I give myself a short break here and just enjoy the music. I love it when “Thorn in My Pride” comes on because it gives me a nice 12 minute breather.
And we all need a little breather to enjoy some music, no matter what’s going on in our lives.
