I've reconnected with several friends from high school and college recently, and I must say, it feels good to be back in touch with people who at one point (and some still) knew me almost better than I knew myself :) Each has had struggles, whether it be with employment, illness, loss, addiction, divorce... some so much that I don't know how they've made it through it all. Some are what some would consider "successful", and some haven't been as fortunate in that department, but to me are just as "successful" as the next guy. But no matter what, they are important people to me, and never again will I let that much time pass. Life is short. Wonderful post. Thank you :) What a great song. I called my best friend of 25 years to tell her thank you for her encouraging words and unconditional love....... Great song. Knowing the story behind it makes it more meaningful. I can see why you love it!! I really like the acoustic version a lot. You do feel the pain more, makes me think of friends that I miss.
