GRIZZLY BEAR
As we told you earlier this month, a poor quality leak of Grizzly Bear‘s highly anticipated new album, Veckatimest, surfaced online. I haven’t listened to the leaked tracks, as I plan to wait for the real deal, but Grizzly Bear has just made another song, “Cheerleader,” available for free download. Check it out in the Dig-It section below.
If you missed our previous post, which included audio and video from the band performing with the Brooklyn Philharmonic at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, check it out here. The band debuted a couple songs, “Dory” and “Ready, Able”, which are both from their upcoming album, at this show.
Veckatimest, which was named after a small, uninhabited island off the coast of Massachusetts, is due out May 26th. The band will kick off their tour in support of the album on May 24th in Portland, Oregon. Check out their tour dates below, and then stop by the band’s official site for more music, photos, and news.

NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN
Now, Now Every Children are heading to Europe to play some shows and then to the East coast to play the Bamboozle festival.
After signing to Afternoon Records in 2007, Now, Now Every Children released two EPs to critical acclaim, Not One, But Two and In the City. Their first full-length album, Cars, is all about life on the highway. Re-recording 3 of the singles off their first two EPs plus 7 more brand new tracks are a series of poignant moments written by Dalager and Hale, mostly over the last year. Since then they’ve ventured outside their Midwestern routes and played a select west coast tour, as well as shared the stage with some of their idols including Mates of State and the Rosebuds.
We’ve posted the second single from Cars below in the Dig-It section. If you dig what you hear, check out more music from the band on Afternoon Records or stop by their MySpace page.
