Michael Jackson is STILL a Wanted Man

alt text

Unbelievable.

I don’t quite know how else to say it. Unbelievable.

Michael Jackson, the self-proclaimed “King of Pop,” has proven that he is still a powerhouse when it comes to entertainment. He has sold out FIFTY shows at London’s O2 Arena. FIFTY shows… all completely SOLD OUT.

Let me say it one more time: Un-frikkin’-believable.

By the end of the tour, one million people will have seen him perform for what is turning out to be his last tour. Dubbed the “This Is It!” tour, Jackson has announced his retirement, and will be enjoying the rest of his life knowing that he’s broken these records:

1. The biggest audience ever to see an artist in one city
2. The most amount of people to attend a series of arena shows
3. The fastest ticket sales in history (33 tickets per minute)

I just wish he’d come to the states again. Man, I would TOTALLY go, as I’m sure millions of others would. Let’s face it – he’s kinda weird, but who can deny that he’s not an amazing performer? Who here wouldn’t go see him perform? I’d seriously be surprised if anyone says they’d turn down a chance at seeing him live in concert.

The only saving grace of all of this is that, according to his website, MichaelJacksonlive.com, “This will be the last chance to see the King of Pop in London, this really is it!”

Notice how it says, “in London?” Yep… that doesn’t QUITE mean that all bets are off for the rest of the world, just in London. There’s still hope!

Don’t worry, though… even if Jackson doesn’t continue to tour after the London shows, Bruce Springsteen has assured me that he will launch his own “Born to Moonwalk” tour come summer of 2010. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll see:

You should hear Bruce when he sings, “Mama-se, mama-sa, mama-coo-sa.” It’s quite an experience, especially when he reaches for those “HOO HOOOO!” parts.

Now, I know that you’re all hoping Bruce will step up, but until then, if you’re wondering where you can see Jackson perform… take a look at the dates below. And keep in mind, every single show is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.

Unbelievable.
