Their mandate was to mostly play Top 40 pop and 5 minute over-the-air English lessons on the hour, but there was one DJ in the evening who liked to play the FULL VERSION of "In-a-gagga-da-vida" once every few weeks or so. He'd advertise this like 20 minutes in advance, like: "Stay tuned! the FULL VERSION OF IRON BUTTERFLY'S IN-A-GAGGA-DA-VIDA in 20 MINUTES" in a monster truck rally voice. It cracked me up so much that we used to call the DJ and request the song for any occasion. "Hello? ICRT? It's my mom's birthday, can you play In-A-Gagga-Da-Vida?". Apropos for Valentine's Day? For some reason I can't think of any bad dedication love songs, although I am sure there are plenty of bad rap and pop songs that could fit the bill. I think Hinder takes the cake.
