Am I Not Pouring My Heart Out Up Here For You?

I came across this video the other day on The Ghost of Electricity. The video is from a couple years ago where Jeff Tweedy is up on stage talking about people talking during a concert.

Press “play.” You’ll be glad you did!

I LOVE this video clip. I think Tweedy nailed it on the head when he said, “Tell me what I need to do to get you to listen to the concert that you paid money to go see.”

He goes on to say, “If you’re happy talking, then why did you come here?”

To be honest, I can understand what Tweedy’s talking about… but that’s because of the intimate setting. If I’m at a full-on ROCK show, I don’t really care what people do, as long as nothing is thrown at me. Plus, I HATE Mosh Pits. I don’t get the act of not paying attention to the band you paid money to see only to hurl yourself at someone else, especially when you can just join your local football league and do the same exact thing.

But in an intimate setting as the one in Tweedy’s situation, I can see his point.

What about you? What are some things that other people do during concerts that annoy you?

While you’re pondering this query, below are a couple of acoustic Tweedy songs.
