Earlier this month, Bonnaroo.com announced the launch of Bonnaroo 365, a feature with streaming audio and video of certain sets from previous fests, and the first installment, The Raconteurs‘ complete set from 2008, is now up and running. It’s totally free of charge.
The Raconteurs includes White Stripes member Jack White, along with Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler. The band’s sophomore album, Consolers of the Lonely, was released March 25, 2008, just a week after the band let the world know it existed. Pretty cool.
Incidentally, if you have fond memories of early computer operating systems like MS-DOS, you should totally check out The Raconteurs’ official site.
Along with streaming video of the band’s entire Bonnaroo 2008 set, four free audio downloads are also available. “Consoler of the Lonely” (which we’ve posted below in the Dig-It section) is available to everyone, while the other three can be downloaded by Bonnaroo Community members only.
Not a member? Never fear, because joining is free as well… Click here to sign up and grab the other three downloads. By signing up, not only will you get more Raconteurs music, but you’ll also be able to stay updated on what’s happening with Bonnaroo 2009 (June 11–14 in Manchester, TN). Band line-up for this shin-dig is set to be announced in early February.
Along with the freebie download from Bonnaroo 2008, I’ve included a few songs the band performed in an acoustic session with host David Dye on World Cafe back in November. After taking a listen, I’m sure you’ll want to head over to Bonnaroo.com for more.
Everything mentioned in this post is free… the streaming video, the downloads, joining the Bonnaroo Community… all f-r-e-e, FREE.
