This was the first gig I ever went to..it was free. So was the Hyde Park concert 2 days later where the Floyd did it all again.. The John Peel ‘Sunday repeated on Wednesday Show’ was actually recorded at the Paris Studios in Lower Regent Street, London on a Thursday night. Tiny, very loud space and a life changing night for a 15 year old!!

LOL – Dark Side of the Mood…. (sorry Mindy, HAD to point that out!)

You know what’s so cool about Pink Floyd? They are timeless. They’ve been around forever – or at least it feels that way – and they are one of my husband’s favorite bands. But the coolest part is they are also my 15 year old son’s favorite band. I think that says a lot about and band and their music when it can span generations like that. (Jake’s even got PF boxers, but DON’T YOU DARE TELL HIM I TOLD YOU THAT!) Anyway, they are both gonna love these, even though I’m not sure Jake’s at an age where he will appreciate any deviation from the studio versions of the songs….I’ll get back to you on that!

I am very excited about this bootleg blog here!! I have never been the BIGGEST fan of Pink Floyd but I have always loved their music. It was something that all of my sisters listened to when I was growing up so it has always been in the background of my music exposure.

You said correctly when you said “most notably” Dark Side of the Mood because that is what I am most familiar with so these are a welcome addition to my lack of Pink Floyd knowledge. The bootleg section of this blog is one of my faves by far.
